I by chance ran into the optical illusion of black dots appearing at the vertices of the grid. I played with the finish of the paint to heighten the contrast, making the black matte and the white glossy. The title comes from inviting the viewer to have their observation guided throughout the composition given the smaller white rectangles inside the squares, the irregularity of the execution and the optical illusion with the dots.
